This volume, Women Across the Ages: Society, Family and Health, arises from a shared scholarly interest in enriching our understanding of the past by exploring dimensions of history that have received less attention. While political and institutional narratives have long provided one foundation for historical study, this work engages with the vital, often private, realms of women's experiences-including family, reproduction, and health.
